A HUMBLE STREAM
On the Call of Your Creative Flow
by Maja Apolonia Rodé

Yes.

This is

the end of believing

that anyone else’s way is your way.

This is you getting out of the rut

of someone else’s river

and returning to

your

humble

stream of

becoming.

Even

your own imaginings

of what you should be able to do,

of what you think you could become,

of what you know is your possible future —

those ideas are rushing rivers of trying

and denying the rustic, unbounded

beauty of who you are

right now.

Every moment is like this:

wild

and new and you

and never the same again.

You can weave your stories together

with golden threads of insight and inspiration,

but the pinnacle of your divine creative power

is to unify all of time with consistent,

devoted returning

to yourself,

to your body-being,

to your I Am

that is

All.

Your primary creative task is to

channel every little flow of your life

into that sliver of a stream

of being what you

simply are.

If these words

do one thing, let it be this:

Let them channel a single drop of life-giving

liquid to the tip of a root reaching

deep into the dark and

fertile soil of your

being.

Let

these flowing words

dissolve even one molecule of self-expectation

and bestow upon you new permission

to be nothing and make nothing

and finally rest

and see

and fall in love

with the miracle of this

unmanufactured moment

just as it

is.

And then,

like any humble stream

with a source that keeps sourcing

may your waters grow a garden of goodness

beyond whatever you could have

thought to create or

cultivate or

become.
