Divine Dialogues

Circles of Consciousness and Connection

The Divine Dialogue process taps into a deeper aspect of who you are and what you can express. Just being in that resonance feels good, valid, authentic, life-affirming — and it’s fun!

What are Divine Dialogues?

Divine Dialogues are guided soul-nourishing conversations that unfold from a shared space of deep listening and connecting.

  • Silence and words flow together into an experience of deep consciousness and connection to ourselves, each other, and all of life.

  • A simple structure and randomized dialogue prompt cultivate a sense of safety and spontaneity where profound personal insight and collective wisdom naturally emerge.

  • There’s no teacher or guru at center stage and nobody needs to play the role of a student posing a question to an apparently "wiser other.” You are known as the authority of your own experience and unfolding.

  • This means you have an open space to discover and express your unique perspective, a vital aspect of finding your purpose and place in the ecology of love and life on planet earth.

  • No experience is necessary, just a sincere intention and curiosity to explore what happens when we listen together.

What Do We Talk About?

After gathering in a circle and attuning to the presence we all share, it’s time to focus our inquiry with a dialogue prompt.

A distinguishing feature of Divine Dialogues is that the conversation topics emerge from the mystery. They are not predetermined or posed by any individual in the group — or anyone else the world! Instead, the dialogue prompt is randomly created in the moment with help of Maja’s Divine Dice technology.

Enter the magic of Divine Dice.

Using a phrase matrix Maja composed specifically for cultivating a shared space of sublime silence, profound presence, and heart-wisdom — we roll the dice 4 times to compose the prompt.

There are more than 20,000 possible prompts!

Here’s an example of how a prompt reveals itself . . .

Pause before reading each line to get a sense of how it feels to hear the prompt emerging from the mystery.

Roll 1: “kindness.”

Roll 2: “the wisdom of kindness.”

Roll 3: “the timeless wisdom of kindness.”

Roll 4: “Let’s tune into the timeless wisdom of kindness.”

The resulting prompt: Let’s tune into the timeless wisdom of kindness.

Here are a few more of over 20,000 possibilities:

  • Let’s immerse ourselves in the healing beauty of this moment.

  • Letʼs illuminate the joyful mystery of compassion.

  • Letʼs explore the deep essence of awareness.

  • Letʼs rest together in the living source of what is.

  • Let’s cultivate the silent mystery of this moment.

  • Let’s contemplate the spacious origin of peace.

  • Let’s dive into the infinite mystery of being together.

Ponder one or more of the above for a bit.

If these prompts light up something in you, perhaps it’s time to emerge from your private cave of contemplation and join us for a Divine Dialogue!

“Just being in that resonance feels good.”

[47 seconds]

Kent Welsh, founder of Open Circle, reflects on his experience after attending a number of dialogues.

More reflections from Kent:

“Sometimes the deeper we get, we fall into a kind of seriousness. But with Divine Dialogues there’s depth and also play.

One of the principles of satsang [nondual spiritual discourse] that differentiates it from the usual conversation is that you're talking from “It,” not about “It.” Divine Dialogues actually facilitate that process, but it's in conversation. So you can be that one who is, so to speak, giving satsang. But you're not the only one. Everybody is giving satsang. Everybody in the circle is participating in that way.” ~ Kent Welsh

“Within minutes we can access this infinite wisdom that we have.”

Michael DeLaurier, Ilana Shauran, Hannah Phelps, Aubrey, and Amanda Graham talk about their experience of Divine Dialogues.

More reflections from Amanda:

“I often come to these circles with a lot of exhaustion from the day. I end up coming out of it relaxed and at ease. It brings me to a deep state that I often find in meditation. So much heartfelt connection. It’s a super tonic and balm for the soul. Thank you!” Amanda Graham

The Journey Through a Divine Dialogue

Divine Dialogues aren’t about arriving at answers; they are about asking questions deeply in a way that nourishes us and builds our capacity to express the truth of our experience with creativity and care.

After the Dialogue

Most dialogue gatherings include time afterward for a potluck or tea and snacks provided by participants.

Each Divine Dialogue follows a simple yet powerful structure based on Maja’s 4-step emergent creative process:

1. Attune

Just as an orchestra tunes its instruments, participants attune themselves to a shared silence. A brief meditation is followed by meaningful check-ins and intention sharing. Your intention might include receiving insight about specific life inquiry such as a relationship or health challenge. The prompt that emerges in Step 2 can serve a dual function as a collective focus and as an oracular response to your personal inquiry. (The more sincere your intention, the more magical the response!)

2. Ask

From within the magical field of our shared presence, a prompt for our shared inquiry emerges from four rolls of the dice. A bit of live instrumental music supports our inquiry: What bubbles up from within when I contemplate this prompt? Deep curiosity and listening (inward and outward) serves as the ground from which the dialogue will emerge in Step 3.

3. Act

A talking piece takes center stage. Participants share ponderings and insights drawn from their direct experience in the moment. The dialogue is a collective act of consciousness, creativity, and connection.

4. Articulate

After exploring our prompt together, the journey culminates in a reflective dialogue that echoes treasured insights and celebrates the sense of community formed. The circle has become a canvas of shared wisdom and a demonstration of the power of collective introspection.

More Participant Reflections

  • Divine Dialogues facilitate the creation of community without the usual requirement of time and things in common. No one knows what will happen, so we all come from that place, with an interest in what may arise.

The structure and design of the prompts help to keep it in the present rather than a heady / intellectual exchange, which is unsatisfying. It is a joy that these aren’t about one person in the front of the room.

  • • gentle process that connects even strangers

    • appreciate the contemplations that are expansive with others’ expressions of heart

    • heartwarming and opening

    • includes everyone — rare!

    • often new words and views before not considered become thought-food.

  • A Divine Dialogue circle creates a space to focus only on Awareness instead of distractions. It creates a safe space to speak one’s deeper Truth without interruption or comments. It allows space to practice being and speaking from/as Awareness freely and safely. Speaking in this way activates new neural pathways in the brain. I start getting deeper and easier access to Awareness and realize its true value and Existence. I feel more ease and courage to Be/share that outside of the circle. It normalizes what is True.

  • I found the session meaningful and exploratory. We connected and evolved as a group as we grew from hearing from each other.

  • Your inner child can come out to play and you can sense into something deeper if you don’t have anything meaningful to say. One person speaks, and then another, and then nothing is said. People say what means something to them in their words and in their way. And no one cares to make judgment. Instead, one simply listens to one. Attitude is everything. Be open to the experience and let people speak. Feel what they say without the need to respond. Listen to what you have to say.

  • My experience of this group think / expression / talk / connection / reflection is mostly positive in nature. It’s kind of like going on a journey without leaving the house. As with most journeys, the travel is not always joyous, but if you have someone showing you the way, someone trusted and loving, she can guide you to a wonderful destination. Deep word exploration is a beautiful exercise. Thank you, Maja. . . . To be continued!

  • This exercise was much appreciated. It was my first time. The breakout groups were very well organized and elicited a response I did not expect. Hearing others is part of the deep wisdom that I needed to be more aware of. Thank you for putting this together.

  • Maja, you are amazing. This game is truly magical. The music was amazing. — Michael DeLaurier, Design Engineer

Join us. The water is warm.

You are warmly invited to enter the living waters of Divine Dialogue where the flow of conversation moves beyond the usual into meaningful and profound connection with ourselves, each other, and all of life.

In Divine Dialogue, unique self-expression weaves together with shared presence, silence with speaking, freedom with structure. This dance of opposites weaves tapestries of insight and reflection. Each dialogue is a unique, shared journey into the unknown.

Each conversation is catalyzed by a central inquiry generated in the moment through four dice rolls. Using Maja’s language-randomizing technology called “Divine Dice,” nobody plays the student, and everyone is caught a little off-guard, inviting each of us to tune into what is arising in the moment, leaving preconceived ideas and philosophies behind.

The result is a living shared inquiry beyond the usual hierarchical structures of deep investigation and learning.

The simple yet deeply transformative intention at the heart of Divine Dialogues is to create circles where consciousness, creativity, and connection weave together and create spaces for individual, collective, and planetary well-being. The dialogues often invoke a collective field of profound wisdom and transformational insight. Because there’s no teacher or guru at center stage and nobody needs to play the role of student, each participant has an open space to express their unique perspective, every view is honored, and we co-create flowing waters of wisdom among us.

In a world where superficial interactions often reign, Divine Dialogues offer a safe haven for the unfiltered expression of deep understanding.

Here, being real about your wisdom isn't just encouraged, it's celebrated. It's a place to practice speaking from the deepest wellspring of truth and oneness — a truth that, sadly, for most people, often goes unexpressed elsewhere.
