I don’t want the kind of happiness 

that makes anyone else 

unhappy.

I don’t want the kind of truth 

that steamrolls anyone 

else’s.

I don’t want the kind of enlightenment 

that denies the living reality 

of being human.

I want the kind of beauty 

that lights up your desire

to be exactly as you are right now.

I want the kind of love 

that dwells in the sacred sanctuaries

of forgotten ones finally seen.

I want the kind of clarity 

that lets the light flow 

in and out —

not just one way.

I don’t want one-way anything.

I want paradoxes. 

I want dancing dualities that deliver

joys and truths and beauties 

previously unknowable.

I want these seeds 

to take 

root 

in the heart 

of a human being. 

And through the magic 

of spirit mixing with matter, 

grow and blossom and bear juicy good fruits 

for our hungry and thirsty world.
